Why the name Adobe Gold?
Many families homesteaded in this area of Southern Colorado bringing with them their dreams, hopes and desires, to start a new and better life for their families. You can still see the remains of the homes they made from the soil, the Adobe. There is no Gold in this part of Colorado. Their Gold was the dirt that they built their homes with and the dirt that fed them from their hard work. It was certainly a harder life as we know it today ourselves but it was their Adobe Gold!We moved here, just as these pioneers did, bringing our dreams, hopes and desires for a better life. We are the modern day pioneers searching for that better life and lifestyle. We found it here in this wonderful and incredibly beautiful part of Southern Colorado just west of Trinidad, Aguilar and Walsenburg.
